Far East deliveries during Chinese New Year holiday period

In order to ensure continuity of supply through the coming Chinese New Year GSPK advise that orders are placed in accordance with the following recommended guidelines. Of course our two UK factories will be open throughout the whole period to cover all requirements

CHINESE NEW YEAR

This coming January 2012 will see the annual Chinese New Year holiday (Year of the Dragon) and consequential factory closures in China.

Of course our two factories will be open throughout the whole period to cover all requirements however In order to anticipate any potential Far East PCB supply line issues we thought it would be prudent to advise you as early as possible of the expected Chinese closure dates:

Closure dates do vary but for the majority of our factory partners the last working day prior to the holiday is Friday 13th January 2012 returning to work on Tuesday 31st January 2012. In our experience most factories will take a week or so to return to full capacity following the closure.

In order to ensure continuity of supply we recommend orders requiring despatch ahead of Chinese New Year be placed in accordance with the table below.

Manufacturing Lead Time

Last Recommended Order Date

3 Weeks

21st December 2011

4 Weeks

16th December 2011

5 Weeks

9th December 2011

The closure has further impact by adding approximately 3 weeks to all lead times encompassing weeks, 6, 7 and 8 of 2012.

If you would like further information of the closures and how they could affect your January, February and March requirements and product delivery please do not hesitate to contact your GSPK Account Manager or alternatively please contact us at sales@gspkcircuits.com
